The History…
Prior to its rebranding, The Review Line was formerly known as The Quill—Culver’s student-written literary journal. The Quill began with its first addition in February, 1922, and has continued until today. Although the history of The Quill has spanned across many decades, our editors decided that the title of the literary magazine did not encompass the unique military and leadership traditions of our institution, or the resulting culture of Culver. So, after 99 years, The Review Line was born!
Named after the collection of leaders who stand to assess every parade demonstration at Culver, The Review Line is Culver’s new student-written literary magazine that has adapted to modernity to include art submissions, comics, graphic design, animated short films, photography, and many more art mediums. At The Review Line, we believe that not everyone is a writer, but all are artists.
